Changing of the seasons

I love the colour spectrum of reds, pinks, oranges and yellows. So autumn to me is the most beautiful, exciting and inspiring season of all.

Trying to find inspiration, I go to my garden and after the summer flowers in the garden have passed their best, I look for something to brighten up the darkening days and I found the perfect item. It was a door wreath with vibrant red silk roses, pine cones and rosy red apples, it hangs on my front door and makes me smile every time I come home from a long day at work, or first thing in the morning when I leave again! I’ve now teamed it with an orange potted Chrysanthe outdoors, and yellow roses indoors.

Colour is inspiring in many forms and to be around bright colours is good for the soul! I was then enthused to bring these autumn colours into my house, so I’ve made cushions and throws in orange for my Kitchen/Lounge. For my Drawing room, I will be experimenting with pinks and mustards chosen from our range of fabric books.

Simple changes like changing bedding, cushions and throws are enough to freshen a room and lift its look. As I’m enjoying this time of the year, I’m also excited about the prospect of spring and all the colours that it will bring to the fore, and maybe I’ll be changing it all again!
